WILLIE AUGUSTUS WIMBER III, son of the late Willie Wimber Jr. and Sara Wimber, was born on September 14th,1959, in Eastville, VA. He passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2025.

Augustus attended Northampton County Public Schools. He was a very outgoing, friendly, and humble person, who loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed having fun, listening to music, shooting pool and always thinking that he could beat his brother Alvin in a game of pool. He was affectionately known as “Mr. GQ” because he believed clothes, shoes, and cologne made the man. He had a taste for fine cigars and good cognac. He adored his cats; Bunda and Pearl who was his bodyguard, a role she took very seriously. He loved the ocean; it was peaceful, and he could stand and watch it for hours. 

Augustus was preceded in death by his father the late Willie Wimber Jr, Mother Sara Wimber, brother David Wimber, and sister Sara Lee Revels. 

He leaves to cherish memories of his loving fiancé Sharon Thorpe, daughter Shamoane Bailey, and granddaughter Xariah Ball. Sisters Vera Wimber, Sheila (Ernest) Harmon, Cheryl Walters, Brothers Alvin (Semeko) Wimber, and Marvin Wimber. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.
