William Thomas Giddens was born July 10, 1964 in New York, to the late Thomas H. and Rosie May Giddens. The family later moved to Philadelphia, PA where he was raised with his siblings and lived until his sudden untimely death on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Thomas received an education through the Philadelphia Public School System. He won multiple awards for swimming and basketball on the junior League at Belfield Recreation Center as #6 "Dr J." He attended Job Corp, where he took up boxing and later attended school to become a Certified Forklift Operator.

Thomas had many professions through the years, the last as an In Home Care Giver, which he enjoyed doing because he loved being around people. Thomas had many talents and was very gifted with his hands. He was definitely a jack of all trades. Affectionately known to many who loved him as... Tom, Tommy, Tommy G, and Tommy Guns. He had a heart of gold and was there for everyone he knew. He was extremely protective of his family and loved them with all of his heart. Music and grilling was his favorite past time. To know him, was to love him. He had the most infectious laugh; you were always guaranteed jokes and laughter whenever around him, always the life of the party wherever he went. He would hug you so tightly as he rocked and laughed at you, while you would fuss and fight to try to get away and tell you "Oh, Shut up", or "I love you BABY" as only he could say.
