Phyllis Deloris Wynder, was the 10th child born to the late Nimord and Rosa Wynder on July 31st, 1944. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. She could not hold on as God was eagerly waiting.
She received her education from the Northampton County School System. She worked many years at H. Allen Smith Seafood and C. & D. Seafood. At and age she decided to make Jesus her choice and joined the African Baptist Church.
"Lois or Deloris" as family and friends called her will be greatly missed by everyone who came in contact with her as she was like a bottle of wine she got better over time. She was usually abrupt and out spoken but you soon realized that this was a notion. She was gentle and kind and always thinking of others needs before her own.
Lois leaves to cherish her memories: four sisters Georgia Shockley of Lincoln, De, Dorothy Wynder, of Cheriton, VA, Maggie Wynder, of Nassawadox, VA, her devoted baby sister who was her legs Rosa Wynder, of Cheriton, VA; on sister-in-law Odessa Wynder, of Cheriton, VA; one brother-in-law Vernon Shockley, Lincoln, DE; a close niece Nicole Wynder and numerous nieces, nephews, family and special friends Renee Gattis, Marva Stratton and Katherine Davis. Lois was preceded in death by her parents: Nimrod Wynder and Rosa Spady Wynder; two sisters, Eva W. Turner and Nellie Birch; five brothers, Clifton Wynder, Luther Wynder, Roosevelt Wynder, Clinton Wynder and Severn Wynder.
