Ms. Tanisha McBride

On August 4, 2022, Tanisha Roshonda McBride answered the voice of our Lord and Savior to climb the stairway to heaven. "Nisha" as she was affectionately known by family and friends, entered this world on February 19, 1982. She was the daughter of Diane McBride and Norman Strand.

Tanisha was educated in the Northampton County Public Schools. She later relocated to the Hampton Roads area where she continued her education at Norfolk Public Schools. She briefly worked as a caregiver at Bay Lake Retirement and Assisted Living Community. She also volunteered her time at the Salvation Army to help those in need of a second chance at life. Nisha was the primary caregiver for her mother Diane, until her demise. She enjoyed a good laugh, spending time with her family, friends and children.

Tanisha was preceded in death by her grandparents; Estelle McBride and Ural "Connell" McBride; two brothers, Dantae McBride and Shawn McBride; her uncles, Randolph "Randy" McBride and Larry McBride; and her cousin, Mark McBride.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Diane McBride; her father, Norman Strand; her sons, Nehemiah McBride, Deontae and Devontae McBride; her daughter, Shaniyah McBride; four brothers, Deandre McBride, Jasbert McBride, Jason McBride and Troy Strand; two sisters, Tyvette McBride and Kenya Strand; five aunts, Brenda McBride-Wilson, Natasha Watkins, Denise Rogers, Marsha Strand and Shanita Moore; three uncles, Charles McBride, Bryan Keith Rogers and Michael Rogers; one nephew, Deeshawn McBride; one niece, Deeshell McBride; five cousins, Jamicia Bailey, Shonda McBride, Tyree McBride, Katrice McBride, and Shaniece McBride; and a host of other loving cousins, relatives and friends.
