On Saturday July 24, 2021, God quietly came into Portside Rehab and summoned Lynette P. Jennings (Nettie) to join him in Everlasting peace.
Lynette was born on July 23, 1953, to the late James and Nancy Jones. Lynette was born in Elkton, Florida where she was raised by her paternal grandmother Estella Jones, an uncle Lige and Aunt Mary Cleveland. She attended Chisholm High School, Smyrna Beach Florida until she moved to Virginia with her mom Nancy Ann Jones.
Lynette graduated from Northampton High School in 1971 and received her Practical Nursing degree from I.C. Norcom in 1990. She became licensed to preach the gospel in 1984, in 2013 under the leadership of late Josephine Williams. She was ordained as an Elder in the lord’s house. She joined Forever Free Ministry in 2017 where she was Elder before being called home by the lord.
Lynette is predeceased by her parents James (Jim) and Nancy Ann Jones, her sisters Theresa Bundick and Lillian Bailey and a brother Walter Jones.
Lynette leaved to cherish memories five sons Clinton Jennings (Kristen), Waymond Jennings (Tania), Clifford Jennings (Monique), Lynard Jennings and Aquil Jennings, two daughters LaTricia Jennings and Malithia Smith. A brother Kelvin Jones and a sister Saundra Bailey (Norman), two aunts Evera Ayers and Helen Singleton, 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a Special friend Brenda Twyford and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
