Lillie Mae Upshur 
November 13, 1949 - August 9, 2022 

Lillie Mae Upshur was born on November 13, 1949, in Bayford, Virginia to the late Joseph and Kathleen Upshur. She was called home August 9, 2022, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onley, Virginia. 

Those that knew her called her, “Lillie” or affectionately “Willie” by her brother Charles, was a loving and caring woman. She was family oriented and was often called “mom.” She had an affections laugh and loved to make others laugh as well. 

She received education in Northampton County Schools. She then moved to Delaware where she worked at Seawatch in Milford, Delaware for numerous years. It was there with union of Delbert Whaley they had two children, Sandra Upshur and Andy Upshur. 

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Catherine Louise, mother Kathleen Upshur, father, Joseph Upshur Sr., brother, Joseph Upshur Jr. 

Lillie Mae leaves to cherish her precious memories: children, Sandra Upshur and Andy Upshur; brother, Charles (Caroline) Upshur, nieces, Lena Matthews and Stephanie Upshur; nephew, Charles Boykins, aunt, Pearl Upshur; sister-in-law, Jackie Upshur and a host of cousins and friends.
