CELEBRATING IVORY

November 27, 1928 - February 12, 2022

IVORY BELL REED BROWN, was born November 27, 1928. “Ole Lady” and “Ms. Iris” as she was affectionately called by family and friends gained her heavenly wings Saturday, February 12, 2022, with her family by her side. 

Ivory attended and graduated from Northampton Senior High. She later began to work as a laborer and professed her skills in the kitchen as a cook in which she took pride in until her health declined. 

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Levin Thomas Brown; and grand-daughter, Aniyah Johnson. 

IVORY BELL REED BROWN, leaves to cherish her memories and legacy: four daughters, Oneida Brown of Cheriton, Virginia, Annette Johnson of Cheriton, Virginia, Barbara (Darnell) Johnson of Chesapeake, Virginia, Audrey Brown of Durham, North Carolina; one adopted son, Arthur Lamar of Plant City, Florida; three grandchildren, Shatisha (Quincy) Rogers of Chesapeake, Virginia, Shawn (Dominique) Brown of Ladson, South Carolina, Tationna Johnson of Chesapeake, Virginia three great-grandchildren, Demetria, Brieana, and Shawn Jr.; one special niece, Rettia Elder of Cape Charles, Virginia; one favorite cousin, Dianna Spady of Cheriton, Virginia; god grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, Nikelah Hughes, Nadia Webb; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
