Mr. Herbert Young

Herbert Dewayne Young slipped into eternal rest August 4, 2022, at Riverside Memorial Hospital in Newport News, Virginia after a battle with lung cancer. “Scooby” as he was affectionately called was born July 6, 1970, to Cynthia Young.

Scooby attended Northampton County Public School System. He also attended Job Corps in Baltimore, MD.
Scooby loved being with his family and friends. He was truly the life of the party. Scooby would use his sense of humor to entertain everyone, no matter where he went. He enjoyed going on vacation with his cousin, Arlene and best friend, Glenn. Scooby was loved by many. He lived his life the way he saw fit.

Scooby was preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Young; grandparents, Frank Powell Jr., and Lillian Young; father(s), Herbert Core and George Green Sr.; aunt, Faye Young; uncles, Freddie, Tyrone, and Frankie Young; cousin, Michelle Young.

Scooby leaves to cherish his precious memories: mother, Cynthia Ann Young; siblings, Andrea Lewis, Valentina Coatanroch, Jocyanne Green, and George Green Jr.; great aunt, Margaret Williams; two uncles, Edward Young and Anthony Young.
