~ CELEBRATING MOTHER ANNETTE ~
Annette Marie James Williams was the youngest of twelve (12) children born to Herbert James and Edna Fisher James on December 29, 1935, in Northampton County, VA. She peacefully went to sleep in the arms of God on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, surrounded by her daughters. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, George, Harry, Herbert, Jacob, Jessie, Joseph, and Thomas, and four sisters, Annie Mae, Eva, Hydia, and Mannie.
She leaves many fond memories to her daughters; Sherry(Preston) Spady, Alexandria, VA; Marilyn Williams, Fairview, VA; Annette (Jimmy) Cornish, Midlothian, VA, grandchildren:Tevya (Nolan) Griffin, Richmond, VA, Teneisha Spady, Alexandria, VA, Jamard (Umeka) Williams, Nassawadox, VA, Jimmy Cornish II, Woodbridge, VA, Michelle Battle, Richmond, VA, and great grandchildren: Eden Victoria, Asa Emmanuel, and Sion Grace all of Richmond, VA, and a special great grandson, Cameron Isaiah, Richmond, VA, one sister; Mercedes Sudler, Chester, PA, a special daughter; Ethel (Walter) Nock, Fayetteville, NC, and a great niece whom she nurtured and loved as a daughter (Marlo Walker), goddaughters: Tyler Jenkins, Philadelphia, PA, Linda Hyslop, Machipongo, VA, and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, special friends: Mother Elizabeth Ames and Barbara Watson, and her dear cousins, Gloria Mapp and Elsie Allen.
