Margaret Etta Harrington Bibbins was born in  Danville, Virginia on April 19, 1920. She was the 3rd of the seven children born to the late Rev. Ernest Cleveland Harrington and Lillie Bell Martin Harrington. She departed this earthly life on January 8, 2014 at her home at the glorious age of 93 years. Margaret lived in Moore County (Cameron) and attended Pinckney High School. She also attended First Baptist Church in Cameron, NC. Later, she decided to move to Maryland and then to Cheriton, Virginia where she met and married, Berkley Wesley Bibbins who preceded her in death. To this union one son, Robert Wayne Bibbins was born. Margaret loved the Lord and often spoke about his love to others. She accepted the calling of ministry in the early 70’s. She served fervently and faithfully until her health declined. Still, she always continued to encourage others about the goodness of the Lord. Her words, “I’m Blessed” when asked how she was doing were evidence of the presence of God in her life. God blessed her, kept her and delivered her to him. Today we humbly bow in submission to his will and thank Him for her life here on this earth. Margaret was a joy to be around and she will truly be missed by her friends and loved ones. 

Margaret was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by her brother John Doffers Harrington and her grandson Dewayne Concepoeon Berkley Bibbins. Her legacy of cherished memories are left to: her son, Robert Bibbins of Cheriton, VA, 3 granddaughters,    Nikisha Bibbins of Gastonia, NC –The Eastern Shore,  Shauntae Bibbins White (Korey) of Savannah, Georgia, Chassity Chandler of Parsley, VA  4 great grandchildren-Crystal, Xavier, Phoenix and Antwain Carter of Gastonia, NC-The Eastern Shore. Three sisters, Verna Harrington and Gladys Fox of Cameron, NC., Nola Gorham (John) of Washington, DC and one brother, Ernest Harrington of Sanford, NC. Fourteen nieces, one nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.
