Leroy Wescott, Sr. was born on November 27, 1936, to the late John Wescott and Edna Satchell. He peacefully departed this life on October 13, 2025.

Leroy was a man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to cook, often filling his home with the comforting aromas of his favorite dishes. He was also an avid sports fan, faithfully cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles and enjoying every moment of baseball season.

For many years, Leroy was employed with SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority), where he worked diligently until his well-deserved retirement. After retiring, he returned to the Eastern Shore to be closer to his son.

Leroy was preceded in death by his brother, John Wescott.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Marlene Wescott; his devoted son, Leroy Wescott, Jr.; his daughter, Janet Bailey; and a host of relatives, and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
