Ms. Lawrence Evelyn Spady, daughter of the late Robert and Grace Spady, was born in Northampton County on September 18, 1928. She breathed her last breath on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Heritage Hall in Nassawadox,VA. 

Lawrence was educated in the public school system of Northampton County, and attended Reedtown School.  She loved the Lord, and was a faithful and dedicated member of Bethel AME Church in Eastville, VA, where she grew up. 

She was employed with many jobs. From the Kendal Grove and Webster Factory, to being the Head Cook at the Candlelight Lodge, where she worked for 20+ years until she retired doing what she loved to do...cook! Lawrence had a wonderful spirit, and loved to entertain, as she would hold a host of cookouts and gatherings at her home often. She gathered the neighborhood kids to play a game of kickball, softball, or baseball.  She loved playing dominoes and bingo in her past time. 

She was predeceased by Parry Spady, Ada Bee Fisher, and Robert Junior. She was a great sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She was very loved, and will be truly missed. 

Lawrence Evelyn Spady was survived by her beloved sisters, Ellen Jones of Philadelphia,PA,  Lucille Spady of Nassawadox,VA,  Gertrude Spady of New Jersey, NJ. Her Children; William Spady (Catherine) of Hampton,VA, Larry Spady (Marshelia) of Hampton,VA, Sheila Spady (William) of Machipongo,VA, Florence Spady (Ethan) of Virginia Beach, VA, Theron Spady (Tanya) of New Jersey, Terry Spady (Amanda) of Williamsburg,VA. 18 Grandchildren; And a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
