Larry Jr. Walter was born on November 20, 1948, to the late George Walter and Martha Walter. He passed away at his residence on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Nassawadox, Virginia.
Larry received his education in the public schools of Accomack County, Virginia. He loved to sing and enjoyed gardening. Larry worked various jobs and was an all-around handyman. He also loved his family at the Kington Hall, whenever I called him, he would talk about the good food they cooked there. He also enjoyed watching television.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three brothers, France Rogers, Eugene Walter, and Willie Walter; and five sisters, Hazel McCready, Emma Robison, Elizabeth Bailey, Joyce Fisher, and Carrie Giddens.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Wallace Keene of Cambridge, Maryland, and Lamont Upshur of Virginia; one brother, Burligh; one sister-in-law, Janice Walter of Exmore, Virginia; and one sister, Jessie L. Reid of Salisbury, Maryland. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
He is also survived by his dear friends, Rosa, Mae, and William Joe.
