Kanesha Camper Obituary

Remembering Ms. Pink

Our Glamour Girl

Obituary

Kenesha Shanita Camper, was born January 2, 1981 in Nassawadox, Virginia to Michael Lee Camper Sr. and Carol S. Camper.  God called our beloved Nesha to rest peaceful from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 with her loving mother, brother, and precious niece by her side.

Kenesha, attended the Accomack County Public School system.  She graduated from Nandua High School June 2000.  She continued her education at the Eastern Shore Community College where she completed the CNA course.

Kenesha had a grounded foundation of faith in the Lord.  She started her Christian journey at an early age when she joined New Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Willie Carter.  She later moved her membership to New Allen Memorial A.M.E. under the leadership of Reverend Chester Morris, where she sung in the Young Adult Choir and served on the YDP committee.  Finally, Kenesha, joined the African Baptist Church,  under the leadership of Reverend Robert Garris.

Kenesha worked numerous jobs, including McDonald’s, Royal Farms, Shore Stop and her most recent position was a care giver.  She took all of her positions seriously; being sure to greet all she met with her precious and golden smile. She showed great pride in caring for all of her clients.

Kenesha was very quiet, with the most loving personality.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time together. Kenesha and her mom were very tight, but when little brother Jr. and her precious niece Shania were around, her mom did not stand a chance.  Ms. Pink, our Glamour Girl, loved taking pictures, making sure to show all 32 and don’t forget, she also loved bending her elbow.  Kenesha enjoyed picking up Aunt Linda from work and going to the Happy Buffet.  Kenesha would call her Aunt Brenda on a daily basis.  Aunt Brenda would say, “What’s up little girl” and would ask her “What’s your problem” if she was late or missed calling her.  Kenesha wouldn’t play games with her mom at home, but enjoyed going to Aunt Debra’s (Scoodie) which she considered the place of fun.  Her Aunt Debra would laugh at her when she fell asleep, dropping her cell phone.  Kenesha would say, “You all play too long and I’m not sleep.” Kenesha enjoyed spending time with her Uncle Richard, which was the clown of the family and most handsome child of Bruce and Pearl.    Aunt Cynt, Uncle Carlton, LaQuita and Caleb would light the house up, Kenesha would always ask, “Who has the biggest smile?”  There is so much to be thankful for, to God be the Glory!

Kenesha was predeceased in death by her maternal grand-parents Bruce Smaw Jr. and Pearl Smaw and maternal grand-parents, Orville Camper and Emma Payne, two loving uncles James Smaw and Bruce Smaw III and one loving cousin, Curtis Smaw.

Kenesha leaves to cherish loving memories: mother Carol S. Camper and father Michael Lee Camper Sr; brother Michael Lee Camper Jr. (Yolanda Jones); God daughter, Jamaya Burton; special niece, Shania LaShay Camper, 6 aunts Linda Smaw, Brenda Smaw, Debra Harmon (Daniel), Cynthia Clark (Carlton), Belinda Butler and Felicia Payne; 1 uncle, Richard Smaw, 1 great uncle, Roland Jubilee Jr. (Corine), 2 great-great aunts, Luagia Mapp and Glendora Davis, a host of cousins, other relative and friends.

Sleep on Ms. Pink, our glamour girl! Take your rest, we love you, but God loves you best.  We got Jesus, see you in the morning!
