James Peter Giddens Jr., beloved son of the late James Pete Giddens Sr. and Gertrude L. Giddens, departed this life on September 29, 2025, at Riverside Memorial in Accomack County, Virginia.
James was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with loved ones. He especially enjoyed family cookouts, where he could often be found dancing, singing, telling jokes, and bringing joy to those around him. He also loved playing games, with solitaire being one of his favorites.

After retiring, he continued his dedication to hard work at Bayshore Concrete until his final retirement at the age of 55.
James was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his special friend, Deloise Carter and his estranged wife Ida Giddens; his children, James (Ainisha) Giddens III son and Amaryah (Zaccur) Israel daughter; stepchildren Darius and Antwuan Justice, Selene (Shannon) Mapp-Olivaria; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchild; his siblings John (Josephine) Giddens, Ida Nottingham, Della Giddens, and Annie Upshur; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
