JOSEPH SAVAGE, son of the late Robert Lee and Geneive Savage, was born August 23, 1951. He transitioned in the evening hours on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, and went to be with the Lord. 

"Joe" as he was affectionately called, was born in Nassawadox, Virginia and attended Northampton Public Schools up until 9th grade, when he quit school to begin working and to help take care of his family. In 1969, he began working for IA Construction, where he worked for 43 years until retirement. 

In late 1990, Joe met Selene Jones. When they met, he had a young son, Joseph Giddens(Rabbit) and Selene had two small girls, Tiffany and Selena, Joseph and Selene married a few years later. 

Joseph was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Robert and Genevive Savage, and one brother, Robert Savage Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife Selene Jones Savage, 1 son Joseph Giddens, 2 stepdaughters Tiffany Coleman and Selena Morris, who he raised as his own, 3 grandchildren Siyona Coleman, Jahiem Fisher and Zayvion Walker; 4 sisters Brenda Green, Catherine Savage, Peggy Savage, and Rose Savage; 2 brothers, Larry Savage and Sampson Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews. Special nephews Juan Green, Shaun Green, Telvis Savage and Nakita Savage; special niece Contina Savage, and special friend Wayne Toppin.
