Isaiah Robinson Obituary

ISAIAH ROBINSON was born January 27, 1941, to the lateIsaac Robinson and Vandelia Ferbee Robinson in Seaview, VA.  He departed this life on January 28, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

Isaiah was affectionately known by his loved ones and friends as “Ike” and was educated in Northampton County Public Schools. He attended African Baptist Church. Ike later married the love of his life, Beatrice Robinson, on May 22, 1965, and they shared 60 years of wonderful marriage together. To this union, two children were born, Etta Denise Robinson and Isaiah Robinson, III.

“Ike” and Bea moved to Jersey City, NJ to begin their new life together and to create better opportunities for themselves and their children. He was employed as a butcher and drove the New Jersey Transit Bus for 23 years before returning to the Eastern Shore.  Upon moving back home, he was employed at East Coast Migrant Head Start as a bus driver until his retirement.

Ike was an easygoing, fun-loving person, family-oriented, and loved his family unconditionally. He was a provider, protector, and did his best to make sure his family was taken care of. One of his favorite enjoyments in life was playing cards and dominoes with his family and friends. He also loved good home cooked meals and music. The smooth R & B melodies of “oldies but goodies” often played in the background while he drove his bus and whenever the family gathered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Vandelia Robinson, his grandson, Derrick Robinson, one brother, Maurice Robinson, two sisters-n-law, Lottie Robinson and Etta R. Stratton, two brothers-in-law, Jesse and Lentee Davis, seven aunts, Sarah Elizabeth Weeks, Mary Henderson, Elizabeth Weeks, Sylvia Henderson, Kate Spady, Emma Base, and Susie Haywood, and six uncles, Otho and Sam Ferbee, Abraham, Nelson, Thomas and James Robinson.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Beatrice Robinson Cape Charles, VA; one daughter, Etta Denise Robinson Cape Charles, VA; one son, Isaiah Robinson, III (Charlette) Birdsnest, VA; two grandchildren, Nykia Robinson Beckett (Alonzo), Virginia Beach, VA;and Shaniah Robinson Birdsnest, VA; three great grandchildren, Jayce Beckett, Nia Beckett, and Thyri Robinson; five sisters: Ella M.
