Isaac Ayers III, loving son of the late Isaac Ayers Jr. and the late Florence Bailey Ayers, was born on August 9, 1964 in Painter Virginia. He departed this life on September 2, 2023. Isaac received his education in the Accomack County school system. He graduated with honors from Central High School in 1982. He later furthered his education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
Junie, as he was lovingly called by family and friends, loved life and laughter. He was a great storyteller and jokester. He loved sports, especially football. The Pittsburgh Steelers was his favorite team and he enjoyed engaging in friendly banter with family and friends regarding the team. He loved spending time with his family and telling a good joke or two. If you knew him well, you also knew he was a lover of good food and any dessert made of chocolate. It was the simple things that made him happy.
Isaac accepted Christ at an early age and he was baptized at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Painter, Virginia. He would later become a member of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Exmore, Virginia.
On May 18, 1989, Isaac united in Holy Matrimony with Yvonne Savage whom he spent 34 loving years. They resided in the Tidewater area for many years but, later returned to the Eastern Shore. He was the proud father of 3 children and the proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren.
Isaac was proceeded in death by: his grandparents, Isaac and Carrie Ayers; grandparents, Frank and Mattie Johnson; one sister, Elizabeth Ayers; father and mother-in- law, Lorenzo and Betty Nock; brother-in-law, Anthony C. Nock; brother-in-law, Joe F. Shelton.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Yvonne Savage Ayers; daughter, Lakezia Savage (Frederick Stevens) of Painter, Virginia; daughter, Tynisha Savage of Exmore, Virginia; son, Antonio Savage of McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey; grandchildren, Isaiah Savage, Kamiya Savage, and Jasmine Beale; god daughter, Jeanette Harmon Exmore, VA; one brother, Tyrone Ayers (Teresa) North Carolina; two sisters, Elaine Ayers Shelton and Florence Ayers Tatum (Ryan) Woodbridge, VA; brother and sister-in-law’s, Margaret Dix Delaware, Sylvia (Keith) Fiddemon Tasley, VA, Denise Byrd, Lorenzo Nock Jr., Natalie (Wayne) Brinkley Delaware, Randolph Nock Accomack, VA, and Deon (Anthony) Davis Bealeton, VA; best friend, Larry Collins North Carolina.
