CELEBRATING FAATIMA

Faatima Shabazz Myhammed Vann affectionately known to her family as "Tima", "The Porcelain Doll" was born March 22, 1983 in Washintong DC to Annette Vann and the late Robert Vann. She passed away peacefully Friday, August 23, 2019 at Kempsville Sentara Leigh Hospital. 

Faatima was a 2002 graduate of Northampton High School located in Eastville, Virginia. She continued her education at Centura College graduating in 2013 and 2016 as a Dental Assistant and with an Associate of Occupational Science Medical Assisting with a Concentration in Management. She also recieved a Dental Radiation Certification from Old Dominion University and graduated with honors from Ashworth College as a Pharmacy Technician. She also was a Nationally Registered Certified Administrative Health Assistant. Faatima could accomplish anything that she set her mind to do. She was employed by Kool Smiles. She believed that first impressions were lasting impressions, therefore she always kept her hair and fashion flawless. As her cousins would say "Tima" is always fly! 

She loved her daughters Ashanti and Bri very much and was excited about Ashanti's senior graduation in which she said that she was going to start shouting as soon as she crossed the stage. 

She is survived by her loving and devoted grandmother, Thelma (Andre) Savage; her mother, Annette Vann; daughters, Ashanti and Breanna Morris; great aunt, Fannie Satchell; aunts, Monica (Tobias) Floyd, Valerie (Clarence) Baines, Barbara Lomax, Eula Weeks, Helena Powell; four brothers, Robert Vann, Khalifath Vann, Hanif Vann, Carl Kellam; four sisters, Jamilya Vann, Ayisha Vann, Anna Kellam, Lavina Mackey; cousins, Roneqah Jones, Alisha Baines, Clarence and Correy Baines; loyal friend, Tashica Burton; Friends, Asinka Bailey, Carla Young, Brandy Reaves, and Tish Beckett; niece, Zykeria Tazewell; 5 nieces and 6 nephews, along with several cousins and relatives.
