Doretha Morris Evans was born on October 10, 1932 an was a graduate of Girls High in Brooklyn, NY.  Doretha worked and retired from Perdue and later became a stay at home grandmother.  Doretha was a loving mother and grandmother she enjoyed traveling, doing crossword puzzles, reading her bible and was member of Alzheimers Asspeciation and the NAACP.

Doretha was predeceased by her parents Elbert W. Morris, Sr. and Mamie Moore; siblings Elbert W Morris, Jr., Edward Ellis, Walter Scott, Sr., and Clora Andrews; children Eric L. Morris, and Ronnie Earl West.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children Charles Morris (Judy) , Evonia Hogan, and Mamie Collins (Phillip); cousins Gene (Carla) and Bernice Reed; grandchildren Kimberley Bennett, Ericka Attmore-Lewis, Samantha Pitts, Monifa Williams (Kevin), Sherice Barnes (Eddiei), Candice Hartfield (Shawn), Damon Hogan (Jeanette), Phillip Collins Jr. and Matthew Collins; nieces and nephews; Hattie Andrews, Geraldine Reckas, Darlene Morris, Crystal Angew, Kurt Morris, Walter J. Sills and Walter Scott, Jr.; a life long special friend James Gardner and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
