Deaconess Dora Mae Green was born on September 25, 1929 to the late Allen and Lucy Baker on Cobbs Road, Virginia.
Dora was united in holy matrimony on October 31, 1949 to John Dennis Green whom she loved dearly. After her marriage to John, she reunited with the African Baptist Church.
Deaconess Green was a loyal member of the African Baptist Church and possessed a warm loving and caring personality. She was the epitome of a servant of God.
Dora was the co-owner of Greens Market with her husband for thirty years where she worked diligently side by side him serving the public with love and respect.
She leaves behind three daughters, Jean Daughtry, Jeanette Dickerson, Jessica Johnson, one son, John Jr. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, Yolanda, Nikiba, Herbert lll, Jasmine, Juan, Joshnye, Jenna, Joshua, Jordan, Fabian, Franklin, Ferrell, Nydia and three great grandchildren, Jameca, James and Kevhan.
She will always be in our hearts!
