Obituary 

Devon Maurice Dorsey, also known as “Jersey”, born December 22, 1980 in Camden, New Jersey, unexpectedly passed away on April 16, 2019.

While residing in New Jersey, Devon attended Camden County Public Schools before relocating to Virginia and continued his education in Northampton County Public Schools.  Devon would continue his journey to the Tidewater Area where he would then settle.

Devon enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Loved ones were sure to get a good laugh while with him where as he was blessed with a great sense of humor.  He has many friends who will remember that sense of humor and contagious smile.

Devon was preceded in death by brothers Dinell, Eugene and Terron.  He is survived by his parents Dinell Bell (Camden, NJ), Patricia Dorsey (Camden, NJ).  He lives on in the hearts of his children Devon Maurice Dorsey Jr., Nykell Kemon Sutton, Shamar Marquise Dorsey and Ce’oni Makayla Evans; sisters Dinean (Tony Lang) Colorado Springs, CO; Taneshia (Camden, NJ); Dione (Felipe Vazquez) San Antonio, TX; Michelle (Muhammad Rahman) Chesapeake, VA; Destinee Dorsey (Chesapeake, VA); brother Jamar (Queens, NY); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family of the late Devon Dorsey has entrusted his final care to Cornish Funeral Home, Inc.
