Daniel McClinton Harmon Obituary

Daniel McClinton Harmon entered eternal rest on February 12, 2026. He was born on September 8, 1945 in Keller, Va. to the late Daniel Lee Harmon and Mable Verline Harmon. Daniel met and married Debra S. Harmon on October 26 2009.

Daniel received his education in the following public schools from elementary to high school: Taylor Elementary School, T. C. Walker School and Mary N. Smith High School. He graduated in 1965.

After graduation, Daniel worked with his father in the field of Timber cutting (Pulpwood) for a time and later started his own Timber cutting business. He worked for many years at Perdue Poultry, and decided to start his own grass cutting business.

Daniel was a loving, devoted family leader and he loved caringfor and helping others. He loved people and transporting them as they had need. He loved fishing and taking his boat out on the water and just enjoying the peace and serenity of life.

Daniel was a dedicated member of Herbert Baptist Church and he was a faithful and active member of the Deacon and Trustee ministries until his health failed.  Serving in any capacity was Daniels joy.  Cooking for others was one of Daniels passions. He loved to cook meals for others and he always tried to treat others as he would want to be treated.

Daniel loved motorcycles. He was a member of the Eagle Riders for a time. He also enjoyed being a member of the Macedonia Lodge # 19, Accomack, Va.

Daniel loved driving so much that even when he could not stand, he still offered to drive others. He stated this sentence “If God tells me to stand, I am going to stand”.
