Charles Mapp Obituary

Charles Lee Mapp was born September 6, 1950 in Exmore, VA to Ms. Virginia Mae Mapp and the late George Waters Sr. Charles was educated in the Northampton County Public school system. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army.

Charles was the oldest of six children and anyone who knew Charles, knew him to be a “nice guy” who had a way of making magic with words through his letters and poems, he enjoyed working on cars and construction work. He was definitely a jack of all trades, but his passion was driving trucks. Charles spent several years driving trucks until he relocated to Winter Haven, Florida. Charles recently began to renew his relationship with God and attend church regularly. Charles worked hard and played harder, until God called him home March 9, 2014.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving mother Virginia Mae Mapp of Exmore, Virginia, two daughters Selene Mapp-Olivaria (Shannon) of Keller, Virginia, Tomeka E. Mapp of Milton, Delaware, one son Corey M. Williams (Stephanie) of Austin, Texas, one Uncle: Roy Mapp (Arvilla) of Exmore, Virginia. His brothers: James P. Mapp of Washington State, Harrison Mapp of Exmore, Virginia. His sisters: Lillie M. Mapp of Harbeson, Delaware, Jerldine White of Exmore, Virginia, and Margie Prillman of Elkridge, Maryland.
