Carrie L Banks Obituary

Carrie Banks, daughter of Beatrice Battle and the late Robert L. Moses was born June 27, 1952. After a sudden illness, God prepared a room in Heaven as she peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.

Carrie was raised in Cape Charles, Virginia. She attended Northampton County Schools where she met and later married George Anthony Ruffin. Through their  union they were blessed with three sons, Rodney Lavell Battle (Millie) of Wachapreague ,VA, Robert CRC Ruffin of Cape Charles,VA, and Anthony Ruffin (predeceased). She went on to later marry Oliver Banks on August 31, 2002.

Carrie, being meek and humble, loved laughter and talking with her family, friends, and loved ones. Most of all she loved riding and shopping with her mom and grand-daughter, Akisha. She really enjoyed gardening on her free time but when she spent time relaxing you could find her sitting with her iPad playing a game. She was a devoted mother and grandmother where in her life she put them first. In her later years before her health failed, she was a devoted companion worker. Carrie “Dip” touched many lives being a good mother, sister, and friend always ready to lend an ear and offer words of encouragement.

Carrie was loved dearly and will be missed my many, but as she encouraged laughter through her words, please let the memories continue to keep everyone encouraged and lifted.

Carrie was a dedicated daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend. Leaving behind to hold precious memories of Carrie are Mother, Beatrice Battle of Cape Charles,VA. Two sons Rodney L. Battle (Millie) of Wachapreague, VA, Robert CRC Ruffin of Cape Charles,VA.
