To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Cornithians 5:8. On Wednesday May 28, 2025 Mother Bernidean Stanley Townsend transition from earth to glory at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onley VA. Mom Dolly as she was known. She was the daughter of the late Deacon Will and Mother Floree Stanley. She was born on March 16, 1936 in Delray Beach FLA.

She excepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age. She joined Refuge Temple Revival Center in Stockton, MD in 1986. She was a faithful and dedicated servant. She worked faithfully in the children’s ministries and had a love for all children. She always brought a van or car load of children to church with her. She was a dedicated caregiver at Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne MD until she retired. She never knew a stranger feeding anyone that came to her door even sometimes giving them a place to stay. She enjoyed cooking for the family and serving God. Even though she loved her family and spending time with them she loved her Lord and Savior more.

She leaves to cherish her memories of 8 children and 2 adoptive children. Teresa and Cynthia of Horntown, Aileen of Parksley, Edith of Waycross GA, Lori Ann of Princess Anne MD, Clarrissa (David) of Hinesville GA Bernidean of Douglasville GA, Eric (Tiffany) of Lawton OK, Abigail of Dallas TX, and Tanya (Everrick) of Fayetteville NC, she leaves a legency of 55 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren, 12 great great grands, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bernidean is preceded in death by her parents Mother Floree and Deacon Will Stanley, husband Oliver Townsend, 3 daughters Cassandra, Betty Ann and Mary Ann, 1 son Oliver Jr, 15 grandchildren, 9 siblings Ruthie, Naomi, Elerna, Rosanna, Marion, Nathaniel Johathan, James, and Otis.
