Arnette Chandler was born on January 15, 1956 in Exmore, VA  to  the late William Lee Scarborough and Shirley Chandler. 

Arnette gave his life to Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Exmore, VA. As an young adult he served in the Armed Forces until he was  honorably discharged. He then went on to become a Patient Care Assistant at North Shore Hospital in Long Island, NY where he remained an employee for 17 years.  During this time he was a personal caregiver to Mr. Robert Papia. He later began to work as a courier  for Advanced Pharmacy,Inc. However, that didn’t keep him from his volunteer work that he offered to the Muriel Gordon Foundation up until his passing.  Arnette was a devoted member of Perfecting Faith Church under the leadership of Pastor Donnie McClurkin (Roosevelt, NY). 

Arnette was preceded in death by his Father, William Lee Scarborough, Grandmother Malvania Chandler, and Brother Coley Kellam Jr. 

On August 30, 2014 Arnette made his transition into his eternal life. Leaving to cherish his precious memories, Arnette was survived by Mother Shirley Kellam of Exmore, VA. Wife Rebecca Chandler of Memphis, TN. His Children, son Arnett Moultrie of Philadelphia,PA,  daughter Natasha Tucker of Columbia,SC and stepson Steven Tilman of Omaha,NE. Also survived by sisters Wanda Kellam of Exmore, VA, Brenda Scarborough of Philadelphia, PA, and brother Larry Kellam. Special cousins Millen Chandler, Vanessa Chandler and 
cousin/sister Lawanda Alston of Roosevelt, NY. Special friends James Hollie of Roosevelt, NY and special friend Diann Wilson Jones. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
