Alexander “Fuzzy” Battle, son of the late Beatrice Battle, was born on April 28, 1947 in Northampton County, Virginia. He entered his eternal rest on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was educated in Northampton County, until he stopped school and went to work laboring. At an early age, he left Virginia and relocated to Florida with family and friends, where he spent most of his adult
age. He later in his age relocated to Trenton, New Jersey, where he married Ida Lupine Ames “P-Nut.” Alexander “Fuzzy” often said he needed to move back home to Virginia where his family, mother and siblings were. He loved watching old cowboy movies, visiting Walmart at least three times a week and B&B Market for the cheesesteak sub. Alexander was predeceased by his wife, Ida Lupine Ames, his mother, Beatrice Battle; sisters, Rosetta Treherne and Carrie Banks; and brother, Oliver Battle (Louise). Alexander leaves memories of his life with his daughter, Clarissa Morris, Winter Haven, Florida; sisters, Ella Stratton (James), Norfolk, Virginia, Dora West (Vincent) Onancock, Virginia, Paulette Epps, Eastville, Virginia, Carleen Battle, Cheriton, Virginia, Aurelia Purnell, Cheriton, Virginia, Audrey Battle (Chris), Virginia Beach, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, special friend Cecil (Florida), Jimmy, Margaret Jenkins and grandchildren, Tiffany and James Jenkins, Alan Carter Riley of New Jersey, who he talked of them often
