Abraham Robinson Jr. Obituary

Abraham Robinson Jr., son of the late Ellen Robinson and Abraham Robinson Sr., was born on
February 7, 1937, in Kiptopeke, Virginia. He peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on December
21, 2025, at his home in Eastville, Virginia, surrounded by his loving family.
Abraham received his formal education in the public schools of Northampton County, Virginia. He
accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early in life and joined First Baptist Church in Capeville,
Virginia.

On September 26, 1960, Abraham married his childhood sweetheart, Jeanette Robinson. Together,
they moved to Paterson, New Jersey, where they built a life rooted in faith, love, and service. From
this union, five children were lovingly raised: Dalice Robinson, Michelle Annette Robinson, Tracey
Celeste Robinson, and adopted daughters Annette Robinson and Demetria Danielle Robinson. In
addition to being a devoted father, Abraham faithfully served as a foster parent for 27 years,
profoundly impacting the lives of countless children throughout New Jersey.

Abraham was employed as a mechanic with the Bergen Record Company in Hackensack, New
Jersey, for approximately 45 years. He took great pride in maintaining a flourishing garden, growing
vegetables and plants and had a deep appreciation for classic cars. Known for his hands-on abilities,
he was skilled in-home repair and construction, always willing to fix, improve, or create something
with his own hands. He instilled in his children the values of independence, self-reliance, and the
importance of developing multiple skills.

After retirement, Abraham and Jeanette returned to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, where life had
begun for them. He reunited with his home church before later joining St. Mark Baptist Church in
Melfa, Virginia.

On April 8, 2024, his beloved wife, Jeanette Robinson, lost her brave fight against cancer, leaving
behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy of love.

In addition to his parents, Abraham was preceded in death by his two sisters, Estelle Goodwyn and
Anne Marie; his oldest daughter, Michelle Annette Robinson; and his only son, Dalice Robinson.

Abraham leaves to cherish and reflect on his loving memory his three daughters, Tracey Holmes
(Pastor George Holmes) of Eastville, Virginia, Annette Robinson of Wayne, New Jersey, and
Demetria Robinson of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Jacquise Maggette of Paterson, New
Jersey, Sharief Stancil of Norfolk, Virginia, and Vashti Holmes of Eastville, Virginia; five great-
grandchildren, Jacquise Maggette Jr., Schylar Webb, Christyn Webb, Journi Maggette, and Alanis
Stancil; one sister, Alice Payton of Trenton, New Jersey; along with a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and dear friends.
