Obituary

Maggie A. Moses, was born August 10,1941 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia to the late Marcus Wiggins and LougeneWiggins.  God called our beloved Maggie to rest peacefullyfrom this life on April 30, 2019.

Maggie received her education in the Northampton County Public School system.  She worked as a Nurse’s Aide in Philadelphia, PA and was also employed by Webster’ Factory and Seawatch Seafood. Maggie, was married to the late John Moses on February 14, 1973.  She loved and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.  Maggie was very outspoken, she loved talking on the phone with her daughter and dear friend“Boo Jack.”  Maggie began her Christian journey at an early age by attending First Baptist Church of Capeville.  She later ventured out and joined the Holiness Church.  In her final years, Maggie rejoined First Baptist Church of Capeville.  She loved playing cards with family and friends. She always had a pleasant smile on her face, she was a very welcoming person.   Maggie was a very caring, loving, sincere and genuine person.  Maggiereally loved and enjoyed listening to her favorite song, “I’m Going Home.”    She also loved flowers, although she didn’t have a green thumb.  

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, John Moses, mother Lougene Wiggins and father Marcus Wiggins; 5 brothers; Isaac, June, Jim, John Henry and Jesse Wiggins; niece Vivian Brown.

Maggie leaves to cherish her memories, 2 children, Andrew Wiggins and Annette Ames; 1 daughter-in-law, GerlindeWiggins; 1 sister Alice Ames; 1 brother, Lonnie Wiggins;  3sisters-in-laws, Erma, Denise and Henriette Wiggins; 5 grandchildren, Marquis, Squeaky, Tee Tee, Andrew Jr., and Anthony Wiggins; 8 great grandchildren, Ty’Quesha, Davion, Ly’zhane, Trevante, Shykeisha, Ta’ Shya, Asani and Elijah; 2 great-great grandchildren; Ja’kiece and Da’mauri; 12 nieces and 9 nephews and a host of other family and friends.
